The National Mission on Education through Information Communication Technology (ICT) has made a promise to improve the quality of higher education in India, said Pradeep Varma, the advisor of IIT-Rajasthan and TERI University in the capital. This was in a two-day programme that was jointly organised by the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and GLA University in Mathura.
Almost 416 universities and 20,000 colleges across the country will be connected under the mission with the national programme on technology-enhanced learning (NPTEL) that puts high emphasis on quality education in engineering and other professional courses.
The chief guest of the valedictory function was B. R. Singh, a managing director and strategic management consultant in Mumbai.
