Government approves land for new education centers

The Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated 22 hectares land to the purpose of setting up a higher education department for the Central University of Kashmir. The state land measuring 438 kanals (approximately 22 hectares) is in Kurhama village in Ganderbal district.
The Cabinet also approved the transfer of 1.5 hectare state land in Jammu district to Technical Education Department for construction of a sports stadium and some land belonging to the J&K Industries Limited to the finance department was allotted for setting up an Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
