Celebrating its golden jubilee, the iconic IIM Ahmedabad is going through an evolution faster than ever, bringing into sharp focus its identity, strengths, and goals as well as rethinking its pedagogy and curriculum to reflect contemporary realities and perhaps move away from Western modals. The institute is now aggressively pursuing a plan that will allow its faculty time for research. To this end they will need at least 30 more staff members, and they known that finding them is easier said than done.

In a bid to make its curriculum assimilative, it has launched a course on Contemporary Film Industry. Not just that, IIM-A’s Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship now offers its alumni opportunities as angel investors in fledgling ventures nurtured there and also mentors them. Its agenda for future includes establishing campuses in other countries close to India. IIM-A intends to further consolidate its presence in management leadership.
