QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS—JNU IN TOP 100

QS recently released a list of subject-wise world ranking of universities, and JNU is extremely proud to have stood among the top 100 in the departments of English, Geography and Area Studies, and Politics and International Studies. In the department of English, Centre for English Studies has been ranked between 51and 100. The high quality of student-reviewed research and faculty-reviewed publications has helped the department reach this ranking.
The QS World University Rankings considers over 2,000 universities from across the world, evaluates over 700 of them, and ranks the top 400. Six indicators—(1) academic reputation, (2) employer reputation, (3) citations per faculty, (4) faculty-student ratio, (5) international students, (6) and international faculty—are drawn together to form an international ranking.
Students aiming for higher studies abroad are very clear on the subject they wish to pursue and look for universities that meet their requirements. Also studying abroad is a major investment for them. Ranking such as this help students make the perfect choice.
