Three full-time, two-year PG medical programs are soon to be launched by IGNOU’s School of Health Sciences. They are postgraduate diplomas in (1) anesthesia, (2) radio diagnosis, and (3) critical care medicine. Only MBBS degree holders are eligible for these courses. The need for trained doctors in these areas will hopefully be addressed with the introduction of these courses.

A separate cell has been created for developing these programs and will be led by senior medical faculty of the school. Admission will be based on an entrance examination. Recruitment for staff for the cell has already started. Further information on this can be obtained from the IGNOU website.
