Enhance your Communication—Improve Your English-Speaking Skills
2
The skill of speaking English fluently can be beneficial in more ways than one. Employers are very particular about the communication skills of the candidates they select. Acquiring fluency in the language is not as difficult as it is made out to be. There are many academies and tutorials that can help you develop your English-speaking skills. All you need to do is to find a good guide and train yourself. If you are keen on mastering the English language, join an English language training institute. While some trainers have been around for several years, establishing themselves on the basis of the credible work they’ve been doing, there are others that are not as effective. Before joining a tutorial, request for a short interaction with the faculty that does the teaching. Find out for yourself whether they inspire you to learn and whether they will be able to understand your needs and aspirations.
An example of one such tutorial is the training institute Veta. It has been instrumental in training more than 35 lakh people since its establishment in 1981. One of the highlights of Veta is its bilingual approach to skill acquisition. This is helpful to those who are comfortable understanding and following instructions given in their mother tongue. Taking classes in both English and the student’s regional language, teachers are able to connect well with the learners.
Veta also offers spoken English courses in the distance education mode with its VetaBest, a home study pack. Among the various programmes offered under VetaBest, the most popular ones are Sureshot, the fluent English programme (a training for success at job interview) and ProEnglish (an advanced English course for public speaking).
Veta also has a vertical that caters to the corporate sector. Popular programmes in the vertical are business writing, spoken English, English for presentation, and soft skills with focus on English. Their clientele includes names such as Genpact, Toyota Kirloskar, Mahindra Satyam, and ICWAI.
