Being ranked among the leading B-schools of the country, NMIMS saw the participation of 112 leading companies across many different industries involved in the placement process this year. On an average, the compensation companies offered to students was Rs. 13.1 lakhs per annum. Students accepted offers from 96 of the various companies that were present.

Can higher education help you live longer?
Researchers at the Brown University in the United States found that people who went to college had a higher chance of living longer. The study showed that people who had a higher education had lower blood pressure as they got older than their counterparts who did not finish their high school. In addition, the biggest health benefits were found among those with doctorates or master’s degrees, and were stronger for women. Well-educated women drank more than those who did not attend university, but they smoked less and were generally thinner.

NAT 2011 dates
The NAT 2011 (National Aptitude Test for admission to management programs such as BBA, BCA, PGDBM, MBA, MCA, hotel management, etc) has been scheduled for May 22nd, 2011. NAT forms will be sold from March 28th, 2011 until the 3rd of May, 2011. Branches of the Syndicate Bank and other prominent outlets will be selling the test booklet for a cash payment of INR 650/-. This cost will be inclusive of the test bulletin, the form and the exam fees.
