Brand management can be defined as the process of managing marketing techniques for a particular brand or a product. It is applied in business to increase the product’s value in the market. The coursework highlights the benefits of recognizing the importance of a brand manager who identifies a brand that will cater to consumers and devise marketing strategies to establish brands in the market. Courses & Eligibility:
Brand management courses are usually offered at the postgraduate level – Master of Business Administration (MBA). An individual who has successfully completed a course in brand management can work as a product manager or brand development manager in reputed companies like Hindustan Lever, Mahindra and Mahindra, Godrej India, Sun Pharma, Alkem Pharma, Aditya Birla Group, Reliance, Wipro Consumer Durables, Dabur, Bajaj, Kotak Mahindra etc. International brands such as Sara Lee, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, Procter and Gamble, General Mills, Mars, Nestle, Novartis, Pfizer, Cipla, Ranbaxy, GSK, Vodafone, Pepsi, Cocoa Cola, Aviva Life Insurance and many other companies recruit brand management graduates. pharmaceutical industry, FMCG industry, mobile telephones industry, insurance companies and a host of other industries employ brand managers to promote and develop their products.
Remuneration:
The salary package in the field of brand management may vary from one organization to the other. Initially, one can earn between Rs10000 – Rs15000 per month. On the other hand, experienced brand managers can get around Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000 per month.
