The film industry is probably the broadest and the most creative field in media. Films in India are the most popular form of entertainment, and with the advent of the multiplex there is cinema for a variety of nice audiences. The field of filmmaking offers a plethora of job opportunities but it is highly competitive. An individual pursuing a career as a filmmaker must be resilient and should fully equip himself with all the artistic and technical aspects in order to break into the film industry. The basic processes of filmmaking are development, pre-production, production, postproduction, sales and distribution. The largest number of films are released in India. As the Indian movie industry is gaining popularity all over the globe, many students are determined to make a mark in this field.
