Career Guide for Video Editing Studies

Video editing refers to the process in which segments of video are modified or rearranged from many video tapes for forming the advanced and final video, blended with audio and special effects. Editors may adopt a system of linear video editing, nonlinear video editing, or vision mixing. Linear video editing is done using videotape, while nonlinear editing makes use of computers and video editing software. A vision mixing system is used when live video signals are edited. Technical and creative skills are imperative for an editor. He or she must also possess a keen eye for detail, a critical mind, and the ability to work in a team.
