IDP?s Managing Director, Anthony Pollock, is one of the most respected and experienced figures in Australian international education, having been a leading contributor to the development of the $7.5 billion industry for two decades. Mr Pollock was appointed to lead IDP in 2005. He was previously Vice-President International of Monash University where he founded Monash International Pty Ltd ? its wholly-owned and very successful international arm. He joined Monash in 1992, and grew the university's international annual onshore international student enrolments from 900 when he started, to 4900 in 2004. He also oversaw growth in Monash University's annual international student tuition revenues from $35 million to $200 million in the same period ? a $1 billion plus cash flow in total. Prior to his time at Monash, Mr Pollock was foundation Director of the International Office at The University of Melbourne, where he served from 1988-92 and was involved in the development and coordination of project and consultancy services and the marketing of full fee programs. He was adviser to the Vice-Chancellor at the University of the South Pacific, on secondment from Melbourne, from 1984-85.
