Introduction:

France is situated in the western part of the European continent. Three of its six sides are covered by water – Atlantic Ocean in the north, Bay of Biscay in the west and the Mediterranean Sea in the south. The French educational system is highly centralized, organized and elaborate. An orderly system of education is maintained in France. In France, there are four types of climate, each one linked to one of the assorted mountainous, coastal or inland areas. The south coast region of France experience Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, the north coast of France experience Oceanic climate with mild weather all year round, the mountain region of France experiences Mountain climate with cool summers and cold winters and the eastern region of France experiences Continental climate with very hot summers and cold winters.

France has something for everyone, when it comes to living. Let it be from urban life to country life. The historic buildings, villages, breathtaking landscapes and a rich quality of life are some of the advantages gained by living in France. As it is located at the center of Europe, it is a perfect starting point for trips to other European countries located nearby. Since, the French people love good food, one can find many excellent cuisines in most of the cities in France.

Visa Procedures to France:

  • Obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) through the interview from the designated official. In Delhi, the Attaché for Scientific & University Cooperation. In Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, the Director of the respective Alliance Francaise
  • Stamping after the interview, submission of passport at the main embassy for stamping is required. Students who obtain the NOC at Delhi, Calcutta and Chandigarh are required to submit their passports at the French Embassy at New Delhi. Others are required to submit at the French Consulate in Mumbai. Students who obtain the NOC from Chennai proceed to the French Consulate in Pondicherry
