Introduction:
The Republic of the Philippines is a country situated in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. The country is bordered by the Philippine Sea to the east, the South China Sea to the west, and the Celebes Sea to the south. Most of the mountainous islands are covered in tropical rainforest and are volcanic in origin. The population of Philippines consists of multiple ethnicities and consequently a variety of cultures.

Higher Education or tertiary education in the Philippines is well developed and there are institutes of higher education spread out over most parts of the country. The Commission on Higher Education, which was established in May 18, 1994, is the governing body for all degree-granting tertiary educational institutes in the Philippines. Its primary responsibilities include making education accessible to all and promoting quality education by ensuring and protecting academic freedom for the continuing intellectual growth. There are more than 1647 higher education institutes in Philippines at present. Students from various parts of the globe come to Philippines to pursue higher education. Based on temperature, the seven warmest months of the year are from April to October; the winter monsoon brings cooler air from November to March. May is the warmest month, and January, the coolest. The minimum annual rainfall varies throughout The Country from 965mm (38in) to 4,064mm (1,600in). The monsoon rains are pulled in by hurricanes or, as they are called in the Pacific, Typhoons.

Visa Procedures to Philippines:
Student visa for Philippines may not be required depending on the length of study and nationality of the student.
However, if a visa is require, the below list of documents may be required:
- Completed application form
- Four passport-size photos
- Valid passport (For a minimum of 180 days prior to your arrival in Philippines)
- Return travel tickets or itinerary and proof of payment for tickets
- Proof of purpose of visit
- Evidence of sufficient funds for stay
- Proof of attendance at educational institute
- Medical certificate from physician
- Police clearance certificates (for any countries of residence during the previous 5 years)
