The institute emphasizes and provides soft skills training as a part of the curriculum. It has a fully functional placement cell headed by professionals from the maritime industry. Few companies have shown interest in placements even at the commencement of the programme which was launched in 2011––such as ACT Shipping. Other companies have asked them to be intimated towards the end of the curriculum. Placement assistance with placement training will be given to the students.
