Manipal University

Applications are invited by the Manipal University, Manipal, Karnataka, for admission to its various courses, some of which are MBBS, BDS, BSc nursing, BPharm, BTech, BArch; MD; MS; postgraduate diploma; MDS; MPharm; MSc nursing; MPH; DM; MCh; and MBA programs. The application form can be accessed and submitted online at www.manipal.edu. The university has in place a common application form and a common admission process for all its courses.

Application forms are available offline at select branches of the State Bank of India and Syndicate Bank on payment of Rs. 500. You may also request for an application form to be sent to your address by writing to the Director, Admissions, Manipal University, Manipal – 576 104, enclosing a demand draft for Rs. 500 drawn in favor of Manipal University payable at Manipal.

Last date for receiving application for the MBBS and the BDS courses is March 10, 2012.
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology

If you are interested in pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship program and earning a monthly fellowship of Rs. 40,000, here is an option you could consider. The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology at Valiyamala in Thiruvananthapuram, under the Department of Space, has called for applications for admission to postdoctoral courses in the areas of avionics, physics, chemistry, and earth and space sciences. VIT University

VIT University has invited online applications at www.vit.ac.in/admissions for its engineering entrance examination (VITEEE) to be held on April 21, 2012 for admission to its BTech programs. You need to complete your application on or before February 29, 2012.

Gitam University

Gitam University has invited applications for an admission test to be held between April 15 and May 4, 2012 for admission to its BTech, BArch, and five-year dual-degree MTech programs. Download the application forms online at www.gitam.edu. You application must reach on or before March 14, 2012.

St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences

St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore, has invited applications for admission to its postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses. Application forms are being distributed since December 19 for a payment of Rs. 650. You need to register before January 31, 2012 for an entrance test that will be conducted on February 19, 2012.

Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute

SRMC (Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute), Chennai, invites eligible candidates to apply for its postgraduate and diploma courses in dentistry (clinical/non-clinical). for the academic year 2012 – 2013. Last date for receipt of filled-in forms is January 21, 2012. Prospectus and application forms for entrance exams can be downloaded from the website www.sriramachandra.edu.in or obtained in person by paying Rs. 500.

All India Council for Technical Education

The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, has invited applications for the computer-based Common Management Admission Test (C-MAT) to be held from February 20 to 28, 2012. Graduates in any discipline or final-year students of graduate courses can apply online before January 9, 2012. For more information visit www.aicte-cmat.in. The test fee is Rs. 1,200 (Rs. 600 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and the physically-challenged).

The Kalinga Institute of Medical Science

The Kalinga Institute of Medical Science under KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, has invited applications for admission to the MD course in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, and community medicine. The National Inland Navigation Institute

For those who have passed Class 10, the National Inland Navigation Institute, Gaighat, Patna, is offering a six-month residential rating induction course for inland vessels.
