JIPMER test

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, under the Union government, has invited applications for the postgraduate medical entrance test to be held on February 12, 2012 in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Puducherry.

Applications can be submitted through www.jipmer.edu.in or in the offline mode. Application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from the site. You need to send your completed application on or before January 12, 2012, with proof of payment and photograph to the Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry – 605 006.

Eligibility criteria and test details are available in the prospectus.

The courses, both MD and MS, are in anesthesiology, community medicine, dermatology, general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, pediatrics, radio diagnosis, radiotherapy, psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, forensic medicine, transfusion medicine, and immunohaematology.

ISM entrance test:

On May 13, 2012 the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, will conduct an all-India entrance test for admission to its two-year M.Sc. and three-year M.Sc. Tech programs. The test centers are Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Varanasi, Dhanbad, Guwahati, and Kolkata.

Application forms and information brochures will be distributed from January 2, 2012.
For getting the form by post, write to the Deputy Registrar (Academic and Student Welfare, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad – 826 004), including a demand draft for Rs.1,350 drawn in favor of the Registrar, ISM, payable at Dhanbad. The fee is Rs. 700 for applicants belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and those physically-challenged. You need to also include a self-addressed unstamped A4-size cover.
