The Amrita School of Engineering will be holding an entrance exam on the 22nd of April 2012, across the country for admissions to its BTech courses offered on the Amritapuri (Kollam), Bangalore, and Coimbatore campuses. Application forms and prospectus for the the engineering entrance examination (AEEE 2012) can be had from select branches of Axis Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, and Federal Bank till March 27 on payment of Rs.850. Submit only one application form for the common entrance test for the three campuses. Completed applications should reach the following address on or before March 30:

To sit for the entrance you need to have

• passed the Plus Two level with at least 60 percent marks in mathematics and 55 percent or above separately in physics and chemistry with an aggregate of 60 percent in the three subjects

or

• done a three-year diploma course in engineering with minimum of 60 percent marks.

Those appearing for the final-year qualifying examinations in March or April may also apply. The three-hour entrance test will be held in Alappuzha, Amritapuri, Ernakulam, Kalpetta, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Malappuram,Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Thodupuzha in the State. There are several test centers outside Kerala.

The School of Engineering at Amritapuri offers BTech courses in electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, and mechanical engineering, and computer science and engineering. The Coimbatore (Ettimadai) campus offers BTech courses in electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical, aerospace, civil, and chemical engineering and computer science and engineering. The Bangalore campus offers BTech courses in electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, mechanical, and electronics and instrumentation engineering and computer science and engineering.

The annual tuition fee is around Rs.1.5 lakh.
