Applications are invited for the national-level entrance examination to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, under the Union government. The entrance examination will be held on May 6 across the country. You scores will help  you apply to the following courses.

• Three-year postgraduate diploma courses in

1. direction
2. cinematography
3. sound recording and sound design
4. editing

Each course will be offered to 12 candidates. Applicants must possess a degree in any discipline. However, for the sound recording and sound design course, the applicant should have studied physics as a subject at the Plus Two level.

• Two-year postgraduate diploma courses in

1. acting,
2. art direction
3. production design
Each course will be offered to 12 candidates. Those with a degree in any discipline may apply for the acting course. For art direction and production design, those with a degree in architecture, painting, applied arts, sculpture, interior design, and fine arts will be considered.

• One-year postgraduate certificate courses in

1. screenplay writing for feature films
2. direction
3. electronic cinematography
4. video editing and sound recording
5. television engineering

Each course will be offered to 12 candidates. Those with a degree in any discipline may apply. For the sound recording and TV engineering course, the applicants should have studied physics as a subject at the Plus Two level.

Application forms and prospectus can be obtained by sending a request, along with a demand draft for Rs.2,150 (Rs. 650 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and those economically backward) drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of the Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, payable at Pune, to the following address:
