IGNOU Plans for More Foreign Tie-ups

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is in the process of planning to build more foreign tie-ups for offering top quality education to students. A faculty exchange programs is already on the cards. The University of Berkley and Maryland have expressed their interest to participate in the faculty exchange programs with the university.
The university is upgrading its offerings in other ways as well. It is planning to introduce a master’s program in food safety along with the launch of a lab for the exclusive use of students of this course. The university already offers certificate and diploma programs in food safety.
Running programs in 43 countries across the globe through 82 partner institutes, IGNOU is presently one of the largest universities in the world. Established in 1985 with 2 courses and 4,000 students, IGNOU offers 450 programs with more than 3 million students enrolled in the university.
