Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation (NSF) Scholarship

Introduction:

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation (NSF) was established in 2002 by Mr. Narotam Sekhsaria to undertake activities in the areas of health, education and employment generation. Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Scholarship programme is intended to promote academic excellence in India and its objective is to evolve a group of young professionals and leaders of higher caliber imbued with values of entrepreneurship and ethics.

NSF scholarships are offered for postgraduate studies at prestigious institutions in India and abroad. The scholarship amount, up to a maximum of Rs. 10 lakes, is decided as per the assessment of the foundation. Selected students will have the benefit of the Foundation’s mentoring program, where they will be guided and advised by mentors from the academia, industry and the professions.

Scholarships are awarded in the fields of :

• Pure Sciences
• Applied Sciences
• Social Sciences and Humanities
• Law
• Architecture
• Management

Eligibility:

• Candidates applying to the scholarship should be graduates from a recognised Indian university with a consistently good academic record. Students in the final year of the degree course, or those awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
• They must be Indian nationals, residing in India
• The age limit is below 30 years.

Application & Selection Procedure:

Candidates can apply in the prescribed application format with a requisite amount of application fee by cash/ DD/ MO drawn in favour of Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation. Cheques will not be accepted. The following documents should be provided along with the application form.

Attested copies of

• All mark sheets and degree certificates
• GRE / GMAT / TOEFL / IELTS / GATE / CAT scorecards, as applicable
• Award letters of scholarships / awards received
• Your application to the university and/or offer letter(s) confirming your admission
• First 4 pages of your passport

All applications will be screened for short listing and short listed candidates are called to attend for a personal interview at Mumbai. Candidates are selected on the basis of the interview.

Selected scholars will have to submit attested copies of :

• The letter confirming admission to the College / University.
• Form I-20 ( in case of admission to universities in the US) or copy of letter offering financial support ( in case of universities in other countries).

The scholars are required to attend an Orientation Programme at Mumbai, before the commencement of their course. They have to sign an MoU with the Foundation and agree to its terms and conditions. They have to take an insurance policy and assign it to the Foundation. Disbursement of the scholarship will be done in installments based on the fee statement from the College/University to be furnished by the scholar.
