Entrance exams are a sine qua non for students who yearn to prove their merit to make the cut for a spot at one of the stellar institutes. Engineering entrance exams are conducted all over India by different engineering institutes in order to induct the best crop of students. Competition is very high amid students vying to be placed in a reputed organization, therefore it is strongly recommended that a student doesn’t underrate these exams. Systematic planning, rigorous training and hard work are needed to crack these entrance tests.

If you wish to go through an entrance test for admissions in engineering colleges, there is a plethora of options to choose from. Among all the engineering exams, AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) are the most competitive ones for students seeking placement in a reputed engineering college. A total of fifteen colleges use JEE as a sole criterion for admission to their undergraduate programs. Students who want to secure admissions in local or regional engineering colleges can opt for State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE).

By and large, engineering entrance tests have two papers. The 1st paper of the exam is generally segmented into three sections containing questions on physics, chemistry and mathematics. The paper contains objective type questions for BE/B.Tech courses.

The 2nd paper is based on mathematics, aptitude and drawing, if you are applying for BE in architecture and planning. The aptitude test calibrates your perceptive power, observation and creative potential.
