Engineering Entrance Exam for IIST ISAT Studies
ISAT entrance exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) for admissions to Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) courses in various branches of engineering. The institute, which is a deemed university, offers courses in the field of engineering and technology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. ISAT Entrance Test is generally conducted in the month of April.
ISAT admission test is conducted at various test centers situated across India, which include Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai and Mumbai. Selection of the candidates is strictly done on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and counseling, which is conducted by the institute. Located in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology holds the distinction of being the only Space University not only in India, but also in the entire Asian continent.

Eligibility
There are various eligibility conditions for the applicants, which are set by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). The eligibility prerequisites for ISAT Exam are given in the lines below.
- Only the Indian citizens can apply for the ISAT Entrance test.
- The candidates, who are not above 25 years of age, may apply for appearing in the entrance test. There is 5 years relaxation for the candidates of SC, ST and PD categories.
- The candidates belonging to General and OBC categories must have obtained minimum 70% marks in aggregate in Class 10th or equivalent examination. The SC, ST and PD categories’ candidates must have passed qualifying examination with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
- Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent should be cleared by the candidates, with at least 70% marks in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), from any recognized state/national Board.
- For the SC, ST and PD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% marks in the qualifying examination, from any statutory Board.
Syllabus
To prepare for ISAT Entrance Test, a student should study the syllabus of 11th and 12th standard consists with the science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
