MBA Entrance Exam for CMAT Studies

Calibre Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) is an entrance test conducted by Calibre Mindware Programming Pvt. Ltd. It is conducted to enroll candidates into postgraduate level programme in the field of management studies – Master of Business Administration (MBA). Candidates presently appearing for their final exam of Bachelor’s degree can also apply to take the test. Applicants should submit all the required documents carefully, with the duly filled application forms. Application forms can be obtained from specific authorized centers and HDFC Bank branches. Applicants can register online as well on the official website of CMAT i.e. www.c-mat.com. Candidate, who qualifies CMAT, is considered eligible for the MBA course. He/she is subjected to face further admission procedures, which may vary from one B-School to the other.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for Management in Business Administration (MBA) should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university.
  • Minimum aggregate of 40% must be scored by the candidates.
  • No age eligibility is defined to appear for the entrance test.
  • 5% relaxation is allowed for SC/ST candidates.

Verbal Ability:

Reading Comprehension, jumbled sentences, sentence correction and paragraph completion, Idiomatic Usage, Subject and Verb agreement, Pronounce Errors, Modifiers, Parallelism and Phrasal Verbs.

Quantitative Ability:

Geometry, Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, In-equations, Quadratic and linear equations, Algebra, Profit & Loss, Averages, Percentages, Partnership, Time-Speed-Distance, Work and time, Menstruation, Allegation & Mixtures, Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Probability, Permutations & Combinations

Reasoning Ability:

Critical reasoning, Assumption premise conclusion, visual reasoning, assertion and reasons, identifying valid inferences, statements and assumptions, identifying strong arguments and weak arguments, cause and effects, statements and conclusion, identifying true and false statement, linear arrangements, matrix arrangements, family tree problem, matrix arrangements, symbol based problems, sequencing, coding and decoding problem, number series.

General Awareness:

Major Events & Current Affairs of National and International, personalities in News, Sports News, News about Power Sector in India, History, Culture, Geography, Economy, Politics, Indian Constitution, Sports, Literature, Science, Research etc.
