MBA Entrance Exam for HP CMAT Studies

Department of Technical Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh, has designated the Institute of Management Studies at Himachal Pradesh University in Shimla for conducting Combined Management Aptitude Test known as Himachal CMAT. Himachal Management Aptitude Test or CMAT Exam is organized for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs offered at various institutes/colleges and universities in the state of Himachal Pradesh .

Eligibility

To appear in the management aptitude test, the admission seekers have to clear all the eligibility prerequisites, which are set by the institute. The general eligible requirements are given below./p>

• The candidates should not be more than 26 years of age except NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign National candidates/students, and serving/retired defence personnel. For the SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of three years in the upper age limit.
• The candidates need to have passed in graduation or its equivalent examination under 10+2+3 scheme, from any recognized University
• The qualifying examination must be passed by the candidates with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST candidates, they need to have passed graduation with at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
• The candidates, who are appearing in final year of qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply for appearing in the entrance test.

Syllabus

Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test is conducted by the institute to examine the aptitude of the candidates in the field of management. Therefore, the combined admission test is purposefully designed to prepare students in the relevant field before admitting them in academic program. Talking about preparation for the management aptitude test, the candidate appearing in the HP CMAT must prepare English Comprehension, Reasoning, Business Environment and Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation, based on which questions are generally asked in the test.
