MCA Entrance Exam for VITMEE Studies
VITMEE, which is also known as Vellore Institute of Technology Master’s Entrance Exam, is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The competitive entrance test is conducted for the admission of the candidates in postgraduate programmes – Master of Technology (M Tech) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The entrance test is conducted at various test centers including Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna etc. Final selection of the candidates is done on the basis of candidates’ marks in VITMEE entrance test and interview. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Eligibility
Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
- To apply, one has to be permanent resident of India.
- The aspirants should have completed BCA and B.Sc. (CS) degree or its equivalent, from any recognized University.
- The candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics / Statistics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects in graduation or Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Examination Pattern
The examination pattern for Vellore Institute of Technology Master’s Entrance Exam (VITMEE) is given in following lines.
- The all-India level entrance test consists of multiple- choice type questions. Each question carries four alternatives and the students have to find the right one.
- The question paper contains 110 questions, with a maximum of 100 words.
- There is no provision of negative marking for wrong answers in this competitive entrance test.
- The questions in the exam are based on these subjects – Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering & Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Life Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Physics, Mathematics, Research Aptitude & Quantitative Ability, Geology and Geophysics and MCA.
- The student can choose anyone of these subjects according to the specialization at the graduation level and mentioned in the application form.
