Nursing Entrance Exam for Pondicherry CENTAC JET Studies
CENTAC JET Exam is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. It is popularly known as the Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test. Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is organized for admission into the first year of BTech, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPharm, BSc (Nursing), BPT and BSc (MLT) degree courses offered at the various government sponsored colleges.
Eligibility
The candidate must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 50% in aggregate with Physics and Chemistry and Biology / Botany & Zoology,along with English. In case of SC/ST, MBC/OBC candidates, 40% marks in aggregate is sufficient.
Examination Pattern
CENTAC JET exam comprises of objective type multiple choices, and questions are based in the following grounds – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany). Candidates appear in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred field.
ÂReservation of seats under various categories is as follows: 16% for SC candidates, 33% (20%+13%) for OBC (Other Backward Class) + MBC (Most Backward Class), 4% for Children / Grand Children of Freedom Fighter, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 1/3+% for Wards of Ex-Servicemen and 1% for sportsman/woman
Syllabus
Candidate appearing for the CENTAC JET entrance test have to prepare in the following grounds – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany). However, candidates will prepare in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred filed.
