Learning Center The Learning Center has 145 PC and Mac computers that are available for student use. A computerized Learning Resources Lab with 34 dual boot Macs may also be reserved by faculty. The Reading/Writing Lab (9-206) may also be reserved by faculty. All computers have internet access via the District's T1 line. Microsoft Office Suite, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and FrontPage is available, as well as wide variety of additional educational software.Tutorial Center The Tutorial Center offers individual and small-group tutorial assistance for Cañada courses. Appointments can be made in person at the Tutorial Center (9-219), or through websmart from any computer with internet access.Workshops Workshops are held in the Learning Center, 2nd floor in the ""Learning Resources Lab"" Learning Center Resources Group study rooms Presentation area (video recording, scanning, pronunciation practice) Textbooks on reserve Laptops Headphones Cañada College Bookstore Cañada College Bookstore was created in 1968 as a part of the SMCCD Bookstores, a not-for-profit, auxiliary service of the San Mateo County Community College District, to assist and serve the educational endeavors of Cañada College and its neighboring communities. Library: The Peninsula Library System (PLS) is a consortium of 35 public and community college libraries working together to provide innovative and cost-effective service to their users. Founded in 1971, the system is funded primarily by member libraries. PLS also receives support from the state California Library Services Act funds, federal Library Services and Technology Act and local contracts for special services. Online Catalog Use the Online Catalog to see the holdings of all 34 public and community college libraries in San Mateo County. It lists all the books, magazines, videos, CD's, and other materials.Students can also use the Online Catalog to see their library account for materials they have checked out, asked to borrow, or any fees they may owe.College are happy to make this library service available to all residents of San Mateo County.
