East China Institute of Technology formerly known as East China Institute of Geology, East China Institute of Technology was founded in 1956 inTaiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It moved to its present location -- Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province in 1959. oday, ECIT is a comprehensive university with 23 departments and 1,500 professors, associate professors and instructors. Two of them are prominent members of the ChineseAcademy of Engineering.
