About Us

Dr. Nicanor Reyes Sr., founder and first president of FEU, dreamt of an Institute of Medicine in line with his vision of building up FEU, already a pioneer in progressive non-sectarian education, into a school dedicated to help in the nation-building in as many areas of service as possible. In 1952, the Institute of Medicine was established, a medical school staffed by some of the most prominent names in Philippine medicine. In 1986, the Board of Medical Education, DECS, and the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges gave the Institute the highest level of accreditation, and awarded it as a Center of Excellence in Medical Education. THE FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine has indeed grown since its inception 50 years ago - it has more than 7,000 graduates, more than 100 topnotchers, and countless successful practitioners, innovative researchers, and dedicated teachers to show as proof of its success.
