About Us
Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (FSU) is a public research university located in Jena, Thuringia, Germany. The university was established in 1558 and is counted among the ten oldest universities in Germany. In 1934, the university was renamed after the writer Friedrich Schiller. As of 2009, the university has around 21,000 students enrolled and 340 professors. The college has ten departments, among them theology, jurisprudence, and economics.
