Whitecliffe Art School opened in 1983.Whitecliffe recognise the central role of creative arts in today’s world and pride ourselves on offering a vibrant range of arts and design oriented career opportunities.Whitecliffe is a specialist tertiary institute that offers stimulating pathways into arts careers.At undergraduate level they educate students in traditional and contemporary aspects of arts and design. Skills of analysis, creative thinking, visualisation and critique are all nurtured, as are entrepreneurial skills.At postgraduate level they provide higher learning and research opportunities in the fine arts as well as within their three unique master’s degrees; arts administration; arts therapy and arts therapy (clinical). All their programmes are research-led so students continually have access to people with the latest knowledge in their fields.Lecturers are practising artists,designers,administrators,therapists,educatorsand with such encouragements this naturally invites students to completely immerse themselves intheir art and design.The main Parnell campus is based in a modern facility that includes studios, library, darkrooms, lighting studio, seminar rooms, Cafe, lecture hall and our administration offices.
